I am running ClamAv for ages now. The behaviour is the same always.
PID USERNAME PRI NICE SIZE RES STATE C TIME WCPU CPU COMMAND
29817 exim 2 0 11224K 7632K poll 0 4:59 27.64% 27.64% clamd
clamd is always using over 20% CPU.
OS : FreeBSD (SMP, 3 CPU, 1G RAM)
ClamAv : ClamAV devel-20040921/507/Mon Sep 27 13:53:21 2004
(yes, I do run CVS most of the time)
The server is a busy one though, but I don't think that justifies the
end.
Perhaps there are tunables that would lover this????
I tested today's CVS. That one was taking over 32MB RAM constantly ;)
