I would put it like this:
Postfix is a widely used and well-respected MTA
It is essential in most environments to interface your MTA
with a virus and spam scanner
MailScanner is one of the most popular e-mail security
systems available - also well-respected
MailScanner now uses a perfectly safe way of interfacing
with Postfix, using the hold queue which is officially
documented by Postfix.
It seems to me unfortunate that there is not better
co-operation between two such important communities,
in order to provide a wider range of choice for the
vital task of ensuring efficient delivery of virus-
and spam-free e-mail.
