This isn't meant as some sort of character assaination, it's just an
observation of the facts from what I've read in your mail.

You are clearly out of your depth.  You don't know how to configure a
system so that it even works properly, let alone so that it is secure
(which is much, much harder).  To do what you seem to be trying to do
you are short of several man-years of training and experience, even if
you were taught professionally, and you can't expect to get that under
your belt "in a few days".

If this system is handling financial information or information which
might be useful in identity theft and you can't deal with these issues
yourself, you need to call in expert help.  It might not be cheap, but
it might be cheaper than getting involved in a fraud investigation.

There's no reason to believe that the Romanian mafia don't read this
mailing list.  They are noted for their persistence in hacking into
servers which might yield saleable information, and they are experts.
