Hello, I wanted to know if there is a way to upgrade max file size
scanning for ClamAV 1.0.7, I have seen that there is a limit at 4GB
using clamdscan and that when I changed the value of max file size
inside /etc/clamav/clamd.conf, it automatically reverted to 4GB. So
I just wanted to clarify if this is the full limit of ClamAV or of
there is a way to avoid this resetting.
Unfortunately 4GB *is* the limit for individual files.
It does not apply when looking at archive files like .tar or .iso
but files inside are still limited to 4GB each.
The position within an file is still stored in 32bit variables in many
places; I believe a code review is planned or underway to use 64bit
variables and thus raise the limit.
