MailFollowURLs No Without it, ClamAV tries to follow each URL. For what I'm not exactly sure, but it really slows it down and makes it subject to timeouts. I've been using this ClamAV port together with Tech-Protect for the last few months and find it's considerably faster than running any other antivirus product I've tried. However, I also understand that it does not check every file on every read, so there is some chance that a virus could still get past the combination. It would likely be detected, but not before infection like mainstream AV products try to do. Still, both are completely free and IMO, provide decent detection.
