If the folder %ProgramFiles%\ClamAV\ exists and contains files then the installation probably went as intended. ClamAV itself installs no service or GUI. You will need either the Power Tools (http://www.bandsman.co.uk/clamav.htm), Windows Resource Kit, or similar tool to install the ClamAV service.
