Hi Paul (et al),
For the JOS Java OS project (www.jos.org), I'm integrating: a bare-iron, x86-PC,
native-code runtime (a.k.a., "kernel," although that's a misleading term in this
context); a not-yet-complete C++ JVM; and a pretty lame "Hello World" program.
This is actually a big step for us.
Now would be a really good time to get an internally-consistent snapshot of the
machine-independent layer of the GNU classpath files. I'm guessing that it
would probably also make sense to grab the machine-dependent files, too, so that
it would be easier to produce the method bodies that are specific to running on
bare iron.
What is the status of the classpath effort? What is my most sensible course of
action given that status?
Thanks!
