This message concerns a small thread originating on the mauve mailing
list and concluding with Jules desire to setup a list devoted to
certain technologies like Swing which could benefit from a joint
effort by parties from all parts of the Free Software circle. If
you're interested see the attached mail with details on how to join
this particular list. By my interpretation of other emails I've
received, there is some buy in from classpath, gcj, and kaffe to
jointly develop important and non-VM specific, non-native APIs like
Swing. All of us however, lack a serious amount of time to put
towards this particular API at the moment though that is the only
thing other than build/configure I'm working on in Classpath at this
time.

That's all.
Brian

Hi all.

Some of you expressed an interest in a forum for collaboration between the
various DFSG-free (or, alternatively, OSD-free) java implementations out
there.

Well, I've created the list. You can find it at:

http://www.lists.deus.net/mailman/listinfo/free-java

If anything doesn't work, please email me.

It should even be archived, but there are no messages yet.

Also, please pass this on to anyone who might be interested - especially
the kaffe and classpath and mauve mailing lists.

I expect to establish a web site to go along with the list too, once
there's something to put on it.

Jules
