Mark (and everyone), I happen to know the organiser of the Embedded track at FOSDEM quite well, so I was able to persuade him to [get his committee to agree to] put an extra item on the Call for Papers. Of course the Embedded track isn't the obvious place for a talk on Classpath, but most of the VM projects have a mobile/embedded angle to them, and most also happen to use Classpath ...
Dali was happy to see Kaffe mentioned by name: my aplogies to everyone else for "forgetting" your project. :) It would be good to have as many projects as possible represented, certainly as attendees and better still as [joint] authors. I think we should try to emphasise two aspects: - on the one hand, the diversity of projects and their special features; - on the other, the unifying factors, including the need to comply with a "proprietary" standard. In this Classpath of course plays a major role. If we put on a good show then maybe we'll be able to get more space for Java next time around ... On the JCP/JSPA/JCK thing, I'm also making enquiries quite independently of Mark/RMS (but I will keep Mark informed). So the chances that we'll have something to report by FOSDEM time are rather high.
