Hi all.

I wrote a little application that uses AWT and is probably a nice demo for
classpath as soon as it works.
Well, it _probably_ works already but I don't have a browser that can use
free jvms. Konqueror seems to still have problems with jamvm (the only
jvm I have installed).

So, can anyone check how well the applet works on a free JVM? If it works
then this might be a nice demo for classpath :-)

Note that it fetched png images from a remote http site; by using the
a-sync process that the applet API proposes.
If you run the tool standalone it uses imageIO instead. Due to a non
working imageIO SDI this does not work in classpath (yet).
So, I'm mostly concerned in finding out how well the applet works.

Applet is at:
http://ktown.kde.org/~endres/worldwide/example.html
pending moving to http://worldwide.kde.org

Sourcecode of my tool (GPL) can be downloaded using the excellent darcs:
darcs get --partial http://members.home.nl/zander/worldwide

Oh; for the paranoia gnome people (who obviously read this in the
archives, since they are not on this list), go ahead and make one with
the gnome database, its free software afterall :-) Just show respect and
mention my name, please.
