I just got around to doing something I've wanted to do for a while - regenerate the JDK japi files against fresh downloads of the latest JDK point releases directly from Sun. I got the latest 1.2-1.5 for Linux and 1.1 for Windows (since no official Sun Linux release of 1.1 was ever made). It appears to be impossible to get 1.0 from Sun for love or money, so I just kept the file I have of that one (honestly, I have no idea where I got it, but we've been at zero errors against it forever, so it's not that important).
I suspected (correctly, as it turns out) that there might have been subtle differences due to the fact that I'd just been using JDKs that I'd had installed on various machines at various points, some of which were from Blackdown, for example. Seems to be primarily serialVerisonUID differences plus one that I'll address in a separate mail. There'll be a "japi diffs" email shortly (when the script finishes digesting the new info) going to the testresults list with the outcomes. This is just a heads up as to where those differences are coming from. The email probably won't reflect the latest Classpath checkins (I believe the classpath japis are only created nightly) so those will be picked up by tonight's normal run.
