The instructions on how to run and debug the maemo platform used
on the 770 are at:

There is no need for the actual device.
I've posted to the bug report as well.

I've filed a bug about our AWT on the Nokia 770:

Unfortunately I don't have a Nokia 770 to test on so I'm currently
operating under the assumption that the colormap problems are a result
of our mis-use of the GDK colormap APIs. We're auditing their use now
-- patches may follow.
As for expose event problems, we tested matchbox-window-manager in an
Xnest session and there were no painting problems. I'm wondering if
it's instead a bad interaction between the 770's custom port of GTK and
our GTK peers.
Can someone post to that bug report instructions on how to build the
770's GTK on an x86 workstation?
