I attempted an upgrade today to my CAM and received the exact same error
when booting. I'm actually running the CAM on a VMWare virtual server...
I didn't try a fresh install, it's much easier to just do the upgrade.
Anyone have any ideas???

Thanks

Subject: CCA 4.1.3 upgrade v. Dell 1850

We ran into a problem on our CASes upgrading from 4.1.2.1 to 4.1.3 where
the MPTBase driver would throw a kernel panic on boot up following the
upgrade (at least to the best of what I could figure out that was what
it seemed like based on the error message and timing of the error).
Fresh install off the ISO works fine. Not sure what the difference
between the two is, but thought I'd throw it out there in case somebody
else encounters something similar or has a similar config.

P.S.: The CASes are identical Dell 1850s w/ regular SCSI controllers (no
RAID). The CAM upgrade which have RAID controllers worked without a
problem.
