All, I am facing a nice little quandary here regarding switches configured for OOB and interaction with our NMS. In short, I'm trying to configure the switch to send link-state traps for the switch uplinks only to our NMS, and the access ports only to the CAM.
Currently, all link-state traps get sent to both places, and it's annoyingly filling up our NMS with critical alarms anytime a user disconnects from the switch. This is not a problem for switches supporting MAC notification for OOB, but most of our switches are 6500s which only support link-state notification.
