We used to see that a lot with the 4.1.2 series of the agent, but not much with the 4.1.3 series and above. Michael Stanclift Network Analyst Rockhurst University http://help.rockhurst.edu <http://help.rockhurst.edu/> (816) 501-4231

With XP a manual install usually did the trick, but my experience so far is that when I try a manual install I get an error saying the update is not suited for the version of Vista. (this has happened on serveral versions). Little trick like copying the file to another directory and then back so as to change the creation date sometime work, but not always easily. I see this as largely a Vista problem but if anyone had some pointers on work arounds, they would be appreciated. ver 4.1.2.1 using copies of Cisco provided update checks Thanks, Bill Doyle
