Haven't looked into it at all - just saw this post on the alias and
noticed the two didn't match - so no idea why it is like that or if/when
it will be changed.

Nathaniel,
Do you have any idea when Cisco will fix this check? I noticed some users last
Friday talking about it. I am currently not requiring this check until it is
corrected.

The check name has that hotfix number, but the reg key has another. Try
getting KB938464

We are having problems with some XP machines failing the windows update scan.
They have SP3 and all updates installed. The scan report shows:
Failed Checks:
pc_KB954593_MS08-052_XP, Registry Check
[\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\Windows
XP\SP4\KB938464\Filelist\ exists ]
pc_Windows-XP-SP3, Registry Check
[\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\CSDVersion
contains Service Pack 3]
pc_Windows-XP-SP3-int, Registry Check
[\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\system\CurrentControlSet\control\windows\CSDVersion equals
768]
I have not been able to successfully download and install the KB954593 update
from Microsoft.
Has anyone else seen this?
