Folks,

Cisco NAC includes a rule-set update service that allows customers to
automatically retrieve updated policy information from Cisco.  A
recently published Cisco NAC rule-set contained a software bug that may
result in a loss of service for Cisco NAC Servers. Shortly after the
rule-set was posted, a fix was applied.

  
Cisco has identified the bug and has released a free software patch for
it.  In addition, Cisco has made appropriate adjustments to the QA
procedure to prevent such events in the future.


Customers who are affected by this bug are advised to follow Cisco's
