Hi Teddy,
You didn't provide the specific kernel panic. I'll assume it was "Fusion
MPT base driver 3.02.03.12 kernel panic -not syncing: attempted to kill
init". I recently came across this and opened a case with Cisco TAC. There
is buried statement in I believe 4.1.3 document somewhere that states you
will have to re-iso the device. This was not documented in any release
notes and was not brought forward to 4.1.8 and has been escalated up the
chain within Cisco.

We had a Del 750 and Del 1850s. The upgrade to 4.1.8 worked great for the
Del 750 because the Fusion MTP driver was not used on that particular box.
Where this driver is used on the 1850s, you will be required to re-iso the
box because of some driver incompatibility issue with the upgrade.

Good luck and hope things go well for you.

Eric
