Hope everyone is having a smooth first week or 2 of the semester.

My first Clean Access issue of the semester comes from a Nintendo DSI user.
Actually the second...Snow Leopard was my first. We recently removed Clean
Access from the residence halls wired network and now use is just on the
wireless network across campus. With this change we removed the game console
filters that were in place for the students, as well as the individual iphone
and blackberry filters for anyone connecting wirelessly, thus forcing everyone
to log in. We also instructed anyone using PS3 and XBOX 360 wirelessly to
connect with the wire in their rooms.

I had a student come to my office with the DSI saying the Agent is required.
Basically my Agent requirements are set to Windows_ALL (Windows_CE has the
Agent unchecked) and MAC_OSX. Every other OS option points to ALL which has
the Agent requirement unchecked.

I am trying to find out why the Agent would be required for the DSI. In my
search for the OS used, I found answers such as proprietary, modified Wii OS,
and customized Linux. None of these answers lead to Windows or Mac OSX so I am
wondering why the Agent would be required. While a form is being created for
filters the users must sign, we are not creating filters for users of these
potable devices at this time.

If anyone has any thoughts on why the Agent requirement is coming up, I'd
appreicate the feedback.

Thanks in advance.
