Hmm. I only did a regular "Update." I think I'm too chicken to do a
"Clean Update"! Looks scary. Does it really only clean out its own
"unsupported/invalid checks and rules"? That sounds reasonable enough, I
guess. But on a Friday afternoon, 45 minutes till the end of the day?
Um, no. I'll look at it again Monday.

thanks, Rob!

I’m not running 4.1.8 yet so I’m not sure if the problem you’re
experiencing is the same issue I saw this morning, but I did have a few
users today who were failing based on Windows Updates even though the
NAC report did not list any updates under the failed section.
I performed a “Clean Update” for the Cisco checks/rules and that fixed
the issue.

Subject: There IS a report problem with 4.1.8...

Hello all,

Our CAM (v 4.1.8) is currently reporting that folks are failing the
Windows Updates, but it's not listing the actual KBs they are failing:
it looks like there isn't anything missing. But upon closer examination
- comparing the KBs required in the actual hotfixes rule with what the
person did pass - I see that the latest updates from this week are being
REQUIRED, but not reporting as being failed checks.

This is terribly confusing to our support staff, as you can imagine. So
I don't know if any Cisco folks read this list, but if so, I'm hoping
someone can look into it. (I don't have the login for our official Cisco
support thing, and the person who does is out sick.)

Argh,

Karla B

PS These are all XP machines - I haven't checked Vista ones yet.
