I'm happy to see the process worked for someone. Everyone's environment is
different, however bug CSCte19236 is related to the CAS. One thing to keep in
mind when calling TAC, make them reproduce your environment. TAC could not
reproduce the problem until they matched our network (6500, HSRP) using a 3355.

I can see where upgrading from 4.1.2 to 4.7.1 was a problem with a 3355. The
procedure calls for moving to 4.1.8 then 4.7.0, then 4.7.1. From my experience
4.1.8 will not install on a 3355 or 3395 using the CD without work on your part
(drivers). Attempts to install any version other than 4.7.0 or 4.7.1 will fail
as well on the 3355 and 3395.

I don't doubt a fix will be found, started the upgrade process on December
21st... :(

We upgraded our old Dell hardware to the 3355s during break. I have to say
overall the procedure went pretty smoothly. The only difficult part was
getting our database upgraded from 4.1.2 to 4.7.1. We opted to send the DB
over to Cisco and have them upgrade it for us. If you decide to go this route,
be sure TAC provides you with the master secret they used or the restore will
fail. After the restore is complete, you can change the secret by running
service perfigo config.

Anyone upgrade to the new 3355 CAS and 3395 CAM over the holidays? We tried to,
still running 4.1.8 and Dell Servers.
