So far we are following the same whitelist practice.  There is a way to
have the CAM automatically create filters for these types of unsupported
devices but the filter it creates does not hold any useful information
(the username that was used to log in for example).  It would be great
if there was a way to automate the creation of these types of device
filters since I expect them to continue to rise in demand.  It may get
to the point where we have more devices on the filter list than logging
in through the NAC...?

CES was saying 80 new tablets should be out this year alone. As it
stands at this time on our campus, we’re simply whitelisting any
students that come in with iPads and iPhones, but we haven’t really seen
any other devices. I’m curious to know what everybody else will be doing
for tablets, gaming systems, etc.
