Has anyone seen a problem with the 4.8 code on a 3310 or a 3350? I am trying to
get a clean install of 4.8 on a 3310 and a 3350 working. Everything is great
until I get the fail over configuration on both systems. Then the eth2
interface shows up with ifconfig -a |more as __tempXXXXXXX at the first of the
listing. The XXXX is a string of numbers that doesn't correlate to any of the
MAC addresses. The remaining eth interfaces show up with the appropriate MAC
addresses, etc. The box will not pass any traffic at this point, or respond to
any pings, etc.

I opened a TAC case, and I have Cisco on site (they have been here all week
trying to get this to work) but still don't have any answers to the problem. I
can fix it on the 3350 in CAM mode, since I only use two interfaces, I just
blacklist the Intel e1000e driver. Then everything is fine. I cannot however do
this on the CAS, since I have to use 3 interfaces per CAS.

Thanks,
Tom Simpson
