I opened the private key copied the contents then I opened the public key
and pasted it to the bottom of the file, save it and imported the public
key.

Then I changed the public key back to the way it should be.

How did you get the two keys into one file?

I am on version 4.7.2 for my CAS I had to put the Public Key and the
Private Key together in one text file to get the CAS to do the import.

On the CAM I had to import the Public Key as a trusted site, once I did
that everything started working.

I don't know this but if you have HA pairs like I do then you have to do
the import on all your devices, certs do not go into the database.
