We are currently stuck in an awkward situation in our environment. After
4.9 was posted the second time we upgraded and no problems were seen. Cisco
then pulled 4.9 again, made some changes and reposted a 3rd time. We are
running 4.9 code but it is not the latest “4.9 code”. The only problems we
have seen however is with iOS devices being recognized incorrectly in our
layer 3 wireless OOB configuration. Below is what we received from TAC:

We were able to successfully reproduce the iOS issue in our labs.

The issue with iOS devices and 4.9 has been identified as a bug, and is
being tracked under the following ID: CSCtv20903 The details for the bug
will be available shortly on this link:

method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCtv20903

The actual problem here is that iOS is being recognized as ALL instead of
MAC_ALL.
A simple workaround would be to disable Agent requirement in ALL and
MAC_ALL, an enable Agent requirement for WINDOWS_ALL and MAC_OSX, in the
[General Setup > Agent Login] tab.

Also, in the User Pages, the checkbox beside "Use web client to detect
client MAC address and Operating System." should be unchecked, so that the
iOS devices do not try to load an ActiveX or Java applet. In User Pages, iOS
is correctly detected as MAC_ALL.

The workaround suggested is working for us currently.
