Daniel Spicar commented on CLEREZZA-502:
----------------------------------------
Currently the scripts are only reaqlly tested on an Ubuntu 64 bit system. I'd
appreciate if it could be tested on other systems as well.
Generally the instructions can be found here:
http://wrapper.tanukisoftware.com/doc/english/launch-nix.html
http://wrapper.tanukisoftware.com/doc/english/launch-win.html
The projects should already be mostly set up though. When you build the service
wrapper project you will find a "jsw" folder in the target directory. Copy the
contents of the jsw directory into the same folder as the clerezza launcher JAR
you want to use resides. That directory will be refered to as CLEREZZA_HOME.
Also copy the "platform.launcher.wrapper-0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar" file from the target
directory into CLEREZZA_HOME. In CLEREZZA_HOME/conf, edit wrapper.conf and
adapt the set.CLEREZZA_HOME=/my/path/to/clerezza/ variable to reflect the
correct path to CLEREZZA_HOME.
Make sure all files in the CLEREZZA_HOME/bin directory have correct permissions
so they can be executed.
Then proceed according to the links above from section "Running as a Daemon
Process"/"Installing and Running as a Windows Service".
NOTE: the script to execute in the CLEREZZA_HOME/bin folder is called
"clerezza" or "Clerezza.bat".
Open issue: how to coveniently "install" this daemon scripts. Most tasks can be
automated but there are many possibilities of how to do this. Any ideas?
