To all of you who have expressed interest in the Day After plans at Soldiers and Sailors Monument:

Plans for our action continue to move forward and to gain support.  We have gained sponsorship and/or endorsement from Artists Against War; the Episcopal Diocese of Ohio, J. Clark Grew, Bishop of Ohio; The Leadership Team of the Congregation of St. Joseph; the Tyrian Network; and are close to adding other groups and individuals.  If you have connections with any group or individual who might be able to add their endorsement, please let Diane at [EMAIL PROTECTED] know!

We also need more people willing to be Peace Keepers.  If we have enough interest and enough time we will try to schedule another training workshop.  Please contact Brian Stefan at [EMAIL PROTECTED] is you are interested in being a Peace Keeper for this action.

We need more people willing to offer direct support to those risking arrest.  These people do not need to risk arrest themselves, but they need to be willing to meet with those who are risking arrest ahead of time, and especially they must be willing to come for the pre-action meeting at noon on the day of the action.  Please contact Diane at [EMAIL PROTECTED] if you are willing to do this.

Finally we need more financial contributions for flyers, supplies and a possible bail fund for those who are arrested.  Please make checks out to our treasurer, Tim Musser, and send them to Cleveland Nonviolence
Network, POB 35543, Cleveland, OH 44135-0543.

Our next planning meeting (if it comes before the "day after") will be Thursday, March 20th, 7-9 pm at Tony Vento's home (4010 John Ave, near west side of Cleveland). Here are the directions to Tony's house: From the East 41st/ 44th Street exit off of I-90 go North on E 41st. Stay on E 41st, cross Lorain Ave. (E 41st becomes Randal), cross Bridge (traffic light), next stop sign is John Ave. Turn right on John Ave. 4010 is the 4th house on the left, mustard color. (Those of us risking arrest, and their direct support will be meeting for dinner ahead of time - if you are one of those people and have not received information about that meeting, please contact Diane at [EMAIL PROTECTED])

Continuing to wish that this "day after" never comes,
Diane
