There was a meeting at Revolution Books last night and one of the more
important things that was discussed was the idea that we need to think of
ways to put pressure on the media to report accurately about the war in Iraq
as well as the movement against it. I think a good way to start this out
would be to compile something of a fact sheet that can be widely distributed
to the people of Cleveland. The more people we have on our side with this
the more likely the media is going to listen, as they remain interested
soley in their bottom line.

I would like your help in doing research, collecting facts and offering
opinions about the following:

1.) Which media corporations should we target and why?

2.) What are the best alternative media sources? on the web? locally?

3.) What are some of the FACTS about this war that people need to be
hearing?

I would like to get as much feedback about this as possible, so it would
probably be best to respond to the address below and not to the list. I'm
going to take the information I receive and try to paint an accurate and
believable picture of what's going on locally and globally and most
importantly, why the public needs to demand immediate changes in the ways
the media is covering everything. From their I would like to make fliers
available to the various groups around town so we can distribute the truth
to the people who sadly think they already have it. I would like to work
with everyone to have the release of the fliers coincide with a rally at one
of our cities more damaging media outlets. Hopefully we can wake a lot of
people up and ultimately get them involved in what's going on.

I think it's worth noting that the questiong asked above have seemingly
obvious answers. Realize that they are NOT so obvious for a lot of the
people living in this country. I am greatful for being as informed as I am
and think of it as a responsibility to turn on some lights around here. Let
me know if you want to help.
