I have had my candle in the window as a symbol of peace for several days now,
and saw a story on tonight's newscast (Ch. 19, I believe) about a local woman
placing a candle in the window to support the troops. I wonder if the
message is getting confused and when people see the candle, are they confused
about the intent?
She equated 9-11 with Iraq and the station didn't set anyone straight about
that -- I believe she said we had to remember what happened on 9-11 or
something and then went straight into supporting the troops now.
It's very frustrating for a thinking person. Any suggestions re: the candle?
