I think I must be missing something fairly obvious here: got my cross-compiled ppc64 system to the point where it starts to boot (as distinct from using chroot), and it craps out because /sbin/agetty doesn't exist, so it respawns too fast.
I'm thinking that either I've missed something important (either a symlink for agetty, or perhaps a different inittab), or else the ppc/ppc64 books are missing it. But, searching through the .xml files for inittab or agetty didn't show anything. So, how do you guys who don't chroot handle this ?
