I got that error about a month ago on the native build. I couldn't reproduce it, though. There was a checkin to listed02.at a few months ago. It says the fix is for running the tests on tmpfs, but I wonder if it would affect non-tmpfs checks. Somebody wrote to lfs-dev a couple months ago asking if these changes would be added, but he got kind of sloughed off. Can't find the mail right now.
