Subject: [Clfs-dev] kernel not booting
hello everybody,
i created clfs and tried to boot the clfs kernel. first i got the message
FAILURE:
you should be reading this error message. it means that an
unforseen error took place in /etc/rc.d/rcsysinit.d/s10udev,which exited with a
return value of 127. /etc/rc.d/init.d/functions :line 148:/bin/logger: no such
file or directory.
if you are able to track this error down to a bug in one of the
files
provided in the clfs book, please be so kind to inform us at [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Util-linux-ng not installed?
after thsi the disk checking happened and after that got another message:
FAILURE:
file system errors were encountered that could not be fixed
automatically.this system cannot continue to boot and will therefore be halted
until those errors are fixed manually by a system administrator. after you
press enter the system will be halted and powered off. COULD ANYBODY EXPLAIN
WHY THE FILE SYSTEM IS NOT RIGHT?

varrun ashok
What book are you building, on what platform, and which version of book?

Regards,
Don
