config.sub|config.guess ;

...that should perhaps read...

CLFS system on, you must replace GMP's
            config.guess and config.sub wrappers with the originals. This will 
prevent GMP from optimizing for the wrong CPU. You can 
make this change with the following command: "

...it's a screwy bit of English, probably made worse by the formal ... (Note: 
(that) If you are compiling(for). . , (then) you must ..).
In any event, grammatically it should be a comma after 'on', not a period. In 
fact, I believe it to be correct English if carried
as a single sentence... ie; " If you are compiling this package on a different 
CPU than you plan to run the CLFS system on,
you must replace GMP's config.guess and config.sub wrappers with the originals, 
to prevent GMP from optimizing for
the wrong CPU. You can make this change with the following command: " ... yeah, 
that's valid structure... =)

..pedantically yours.. ;)
