I think this would be a good point to consider if the sysroot book should live on or if it should be integrated into the main CLFS or embedded books (or a bit of both). The first thing we should do is to discuss what the sysroot book should become, or what people want it to become. Joe did a lot of work on it but that stopped about 4 years ago, now. What's the future look like for sysroot? Sysroot has ARM support, main book does not, embedded does. Sysroot has EGLIBC, main book does, too. Sysroot has PA-RISC, is anyone using it? Bringing the sysroot book up to date with current tools is a monumental task as this point. Making it work properly with the older software in the book seems futile. So what's the right path for dealing with sysroot if Duc Tran is interested in making an impact? Would a good way to phase out sysroot be to add ARM support to the main book?
