Just completed up to end of section 7
Just a couple of observations
mpfr has a later bug patch than the current listed one
both bash 4.3 and readline 6.3 already have upstream patches
gentoo has 4 bash patches, arch two
will check later on the readline patch, not as critical as the above though
eudev is now up to 1.5.2, wouldn't build without
sed -i '/struct ucred/i struct ucred;' src/libudev/util.h
and
removal of a few #include <linux/fcntl.h> in various files
upgraded to Flex-2.5.38, will see what happens in the final build section
otherwise seems ok so far
not sure if section 7.16 is actually needed if you tell the kernel to
mount a devtmpfs and populate it
