Hi Guys,
I am still fighting the problem of not having sound. Everything I see
points to not having the right drivers installed in the kernel. I think
I may have posted this information to the BLFS list but maybe you would
be a better group to ask. My hardware shows up as the following from an
lspci output:

00:0d.0 Multimedia audio controller: nVidia Corporation CK804 AC'97
Audio Controller (rev a2)

The kernel is compiled with no modules, all drivers are internal. The
following are the options I turned on. Before you blast me for having a
bunch of junk turned on that I don't need I'll say in my own defense
that when I went through the kernel configuration I couldn't find
anything that looked like it was for the hardware I had so I said yes to
anything that looked like it may be of some use. I'm running 4Gig of
memory and I didn't figure some extra support I didn't need would make
that big a difference and I could always take it out later. I'm thinking
now I didn't include something that I do need. Alsa can't find any sound
boards when I boot and the only thing I can think of is there is
something I missed when I built the kernel. Is there anyone out there
that is using the same hardware that can tell me if I'm missing
something? Thanks in advance for any direction in this matter.

Arnie
