I don't understand.. how can I get sda into my /dev in a chroot?

In chroot, you need the devices from the host system before you can
run the bootloader. I've lost track of what the book does, but from
another terminal on the host run something like

 mount --bind /dev /mnt/clfs/dev

to get access to all the host's devices.

Thanks!
that step is not mentioned in the book...

The boot process looks good but:

------------------------------------------------------------------------
...
...
Mounting kernel-based file systems: /proc /sys [ OK ]
Mounting root file system in read-only mode... [ OK ]

Checking file system...
/dev/sda1:

The superblock could not be read or does not describe a correct ext2 filesystem...
------------------------------------------------------------------------

e2fsck didn't help :/
there are no other error messages and /dev/sda1 is definitely ext2 (/dev/sda5 is swap)

What can I do?

Mount of /dev is in this section of the book http://cross-lfs.org/view/1.0.0/x86/chroot/kernfs.html.
