Please use proper English, from what I understand you're asking if you
can build a MIPS embedded system on a x86. Of course you can do that,
but you must follow the MIPS book for it. What happens after you created
the bas esystem is up to you, but you will probably have to get it
uploaded to your device somehow, which really differs strongly for each
device, so it's hard to put this part up.

Still clfs, I haven't seen any text that says you should be root there, or 
anywhere else in the book for that matter.
