Hi,
Here is my setup look like.
My Computer -> Built in Readltek ethernet card-> Cable Modem -> ISP
My ISP has give me static IP address with default Gateway address,
subnet mask,
two DNS server address.
It is a 24 hrs. online connection with no username and password.
Every time I try to ping my DNS I get the error
ping: sendto : network in unreachable.
At the boot time I see the message :
Adding address <My IP Address> to eth0.
Adding gateway address <My Gateway address>
Bringing up eth0 interface...
Whenever I turn on my cable modem (it automatically configures itself).
I see message from kernel:
eth0 : link up
So what is wrong. I have integrated my ethernet card's driver right
into the kernel so it is not driver problem. I can connect to net in
windows so it is not hardware problem.
Please help.
