I'am building a fresh system based on clfs-svn-05082007 for x86. In chapter 10 I ran into a problem with the coreutils package wich seems to go on forever when "checking for working nanosleep..." I build all of the previous chapters without optimizations and glibc and gcc didn't trow me any unexpected errors when doing a make check. After installing glibc, gcc and binutils I added "-march=k8 -O2 -pipe -mfpmath=sse -m32" as C(XX)(PP)FLAGS but leaving them out didn't made a difference, still hanging on nanosleep. Maybe I misconfigured my host kernel?
