Hello,

I've been installing Xorg 7.3 today, and ran into some troubles:

the drivers xf86-video-wsfb-0.2.1, xf86-video-impact-0.2.0 and
xf86-video-glide-1.0.0 need extra software.

the glide driver needs glide.h, which is not present,
the impact driver needs asm/cachectl.h and sys/cachectl.h
the wsfb driver needs dev/wscons/wsconsio.h

Somebody knows how to solve this (I do not think they are important
drivers..)

1) wsfb is for NetBSD (primarily, possibly used elsewhere, but not
Linux afaik) --- not important for CLFS, in my opinion.
Shouldn't it be removed from the list then?
2) glide.h is typically acquired through mesa if I'm not mistaken,
whether or not this is important for CLFS is really a toss-up, glide
based cards are a bit old anymore, but still have a somewhat present
following.
Yes I think you're right.
But its not part of mesa (at least Mesa-7.0.2). So there should be a note in the dependencytable
that it needs extra software.

3) From the little Google tells me at a glance (and what I'm inclined
to assume from the cachectl.h pair being located in asm/ and sys/
anyways) the missing headers are from the kernel. What kernel are you
building on? As for importance, I have no idea how common the "Sgi
Indigo2 and Octane" are.

My kernel is 2.6.23.17.
