Oh - yeah, that's what I'm doing with the i386 and x86_64 builds, one spec file for both builds.

I no longer have a ppc, never had a ppc64, and no longer have a sparc64, so I can't test my specs out on those hardware platforms.

One of the things I'm trying to do is make the packages as absolutely clean as possible, IE running iconv to fix man pages that are not UTF8 (ChangeLog files I'm mostly leaving, many of those are a mess with multiple encodings used depending upon who made the last entry - can't simply run iconv on them), fixing .la files with bogus entries, etc.

I'm not being quite as anal as the Fedora packaging guidelines - which want static libraries in a separate package now (so they can more easily track what packages use them to build and fix them to use shared)

I figure if it is worth doing, it is worth doing right.
