Hi Ian,

The error related to localedata refers to the certain locale (I cannot tell
which one) not passing the test. I would not worry about this too much.

The error related to posix I will also ignore. The error related to elf
seems to be negligible since I found it mentioned in all eglibc check logs
associated to working systems I could find.

But the errors related to debug reported in tst-backtrace5.out and
tst-backtrace6.out seem to be serious enough as to be also the cause of
your failing GMP. According to those reports there might be some functions
(at least one) that fail back-tracing which is closely related to gcc.

I declare myself incapable of an intelligent digging on the issue. Perhaps
William could bring some light...

Regards,

Alonso
