The queue is empty and the from address is indeed [email protected]. Henning suggested that we change the SMTP server to hermes.a.o. I've asked Jeff Turner to make this change so hopefully this resolves the issue for us.

Two things to check:

1. Are these emails stuck in the moderation queue? (who is the list moderator anyways?).

2. Jira "From:" address must be <something at apache dot org> (i.e. <something at incubator dot apache dot org> won't work due to the mail filtering rules implemented by the infrastructure). Usually you'd set the from to <jira at apache dot org>.\

I have admin rights on JIRA and believe it is configured correctly in that notification schema is setup to mail to this list. However for some reason the mail doesn't come through. However JIRA does send mail to other participants such as issue creator, assignee and watchers.

This can be configured by whoever has admin rights to Jira (I don't).

Hi all,

The new JIRA does not send mails to the dev list which makes tracking issues a bit difficult.

An alternative is to use JIRA RSS feeds to periodically poll for new issues or comments.

Just add the following URL's to your favorite RSS reader:

https://issues.apache.org/click/sr/jira.issueviews:searchrequest-comments-rss/temp/SearchRequest.xml?&pid=10000&sorter/field=issuekey&sorter/order=DESC&sorter/field=updated&sorter/order=DESC&tempMax=20
