I was using 1.8.3 until I realized the scripts were already included with Click.
Looking at the changelog of 1.8.3
(http://github.com/madrobby/scriptaculous/blob/v1.8.3/CHANGELOG) there's a lot
that's been fixed. I suggest to upgrade to 1.8.3 and prototype 1.6.1.
