Could it be that this is the moment for Click to step in?
Google offers free development for now, Click has low barrier for entry. +1. This would be *the* chance for click. Than it should be mentioned here: http://tinyurl.com/click-run (to contrast with those that don't :) ). Package a version of Click to work on appengine? I don't think that there should be a separate Click version (or package) that works on GAE/J, but the standard default one should run there too.
