Dear Climate-L reader
The overview of the CDM projects in the pipeline and the baseline & monitoring
methodologies at the UNEP Risoe Centre CDM capacity building website:
www.cd4cdm.org/Publications/CDMpipeline.pdf
has been updated.

The pipeline now also contains an overview of all JI projects which have
reached the stage of validation, and therefore have been or are out for
validation by an Operatinal Entity. The JI info is based on the information
collected from the web-sites of the Operational Entities and the Annex-I
countries.

The pdf file therefore now contains the following information: (new features in
yellow):

1) Some pages with the key information about all new baseline and monitoring
methodologies (NM’s), that has been submitted to the Executive Board of the
CDM: Type of the method, mark (A=Approved in yellow, B= project participants
must make some changes, and C=rejected), host country, credit buyer, crediting
period chosen (7 or 10 years), and title.

2) The same information for afforestation and reforestation new baseline and
monitoring methodologies.

3) A list of all the approved full-scale CDM methodologies in the following
groupings: Zero emission renewables, biomass, waste, animal waste, fossil fuel
switch, fugitive emissions from fuels, HFCs, N2O, energy efficiency in
industry, energy efficiency in service.

4) The list of approved small-scale CDM methodologies.

5) A full list of all the CDM projects in the pipeline with information on:
Title of project, Methodology used, type, average ktCO2 reduction per year in
the first crediting period (7 or 10 years), length of crediting period,
starting date of crediting period, CERs accumulated in the project until
31/12-2012 (new), status (at validation, request for registration, request for
review and under review in red, and registered in yellow), DOE used for
validation, date for the end of the public comment period, host country, credit
buyer(s), region, consultant used for the PDD. At the bottom of the table the
total and the average annual number of CERs and the accumulated CERs at
31/12-2012 per project are calculated.

6) A list of all applicant entities (AE’s) containing: Name of the AE,
Country of origin, Status (designated DOE in yellow, indicative letter),
sectoral scopes designated for, sectoral scopes in the indicative letter,
additional scopes applied for.

7) A list of all the JI projects in the pipeline with information on: Title of
project, “Methodology used”, type, average ktCO2 reduction per year in the
period 2008-2012, OE used for validation, date for the end of the public
comment period, host country, credit buyer, and consultant used for the PDD. At
the bottom of the table the total and the average annual number of ERUs.
8) Two tables used for the graphs (one for CDM projects and one for JI
projects). For each type of project: number of proposed methodologies, number
of projects, and total annual amount of CERs for the projects in this category.
The same page contains a table of how many CDM and JI projects each country has
in the pipeline, and a table showing the percentages of CDM projects which have
chosen 7 or 10 years as the crediting period.

9) A table showing how many CDM and JI projects each Operational Entity has
validated.

10) Two CDM graphs and two JI graphs based on the information in 8)
