Finnder – the new Finnish Carbon Procurement Programme - is seeking 10 million tonnes of emission reductions by 2012
Finnder (Finnish Drive for Emission Reductions) is the successor to the Finnish CDM/JI Pilot Programme. Finland, through the Finnder programme, is looking to buy 10 million tonnes of emission reductions by 2012 from JI and CDM projects to supplement Finland's domestic activities. Finnder is most interested in the projects that can demonstrate at least 250 000 t of emission reductions by 2012. The Finnder programme is implemented by the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE) on behalf of the Ministry for Trade and Industry, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of the Environment. Finland is a reliable and committed buyer of emission reductions. We provide: • Experience of one of the pioneering CDM/JI programmes in the world. • On-going and open project identification. • Technical support for PDD development. • Up-front payments up to 50%. • Taking care of the validation, registration and verification procedures and fees.
