It looks like you really want a formated string (concat returns a sequence
not a string). You could use:
(defn describe-path [path]
(format "this is a, %s, going, %s, from here" (path :kind) (path
:direction)))
--
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
