This doesn't directly address your request but it raised a question in my mind:

Should the examples go in the core documentation or is ClojureDocs a
better place for this sort of thing?

The examples shown don't cover everything but examples can easily be
added to ClojureDocs and it seems like a good opportunity to promote
the site and encourage others to contribute more examples.
